MIGRANT CHILDREN PROJECT

Background:

We – that's Caitriona, Allen, Naomi and Fina – wanted to talk to children and young people about moving to, and living in, Ireland . So, instead of talking only to adults (like parents or teachers or group leaders) we also talked with young people (normally below 18, but not always) and children about their experiences and feelings.

We tried to make this interesting by asking children to do different kinds of things and to find out about their lives in different ways.

We tried out some of these ways in some schools in Cork in November 2006.

Working with children and young people requires a specialized set of research rules. You can read these here.
