MIGRANT CHILDREN PROJECT

Drawings exercise

The children who drew pictures were in the younger classes (1st or 2nd classes). We asked the children draw a picture all about who you are and what is important to you . We sat with the small groups of children while they were drawing their pictures, and talked a little with each child about their drawing. We took the pictures away to scan them into a computer and then we returned them to the children at a later date.

Group discussion

Before we asked the children to draw a picture we sat with small groups of children and talked (as a group) about ‘moving house.' We got big bits of paper and asked the children to draw or write on the paper some of their ideas as they said them. It was messy but lots of fun.
