INTERNSHIPS

The Centre is always pleased to consider applications from postgraduate students who wish to acquire experience by working as interns on our various projects. This may be of interest either to those students who plan to attend the National University of Ireland, Cork, as visiting undergraduate on Junior Year/Semester Abroad or EU Socrates programmes, or to those who wish to attend as independent postgraduates in order to carry out independent research and contribute to the work of the Centre.

For more details please visit the International Education Office website or email us.

SPECIAL PROJECT: BUILDING AN ORAL ARCHIVE OF IRISH MIGRATION

We are interested in hearing from anyone who would like to be considered for an internship in this field. The project will be carried out by four institutions, including the Centre, and will involve the design, development and deployment of an on-line internet-accessible oral archive enabling Irish migrants and their descendants to record their own narratives. A background in ethnology, sociology or cultural anthropology would be particularly relevant.
