Legislative processes inputting into drafting of White Papers and Amendments to Legislation in Telecommunications, Broadcasting and E-Commerce, as well as Tourism and Social Development (Welfare) Sectors in South Africa. During the four years leading up to the first democratic elections in South Africa, worked on a number of development processes that were aimed at setting a various policy frameworks into place for the new government.

Also responsible for synthesising and presenting inputs into the National Electronics Law Conference and preparing and presenting South Africa’s position on Non-Government Organisations and the Digital Divide at the Meeting of the Commonwealth Expert Group on Information Technology.

Tasks:            Directed an organisation of 16 full-time and about 60 contract or part-time personnel, located at four offices in South Africa. I also personally co-ordinated all international assignments and all projects within the communications and crime sectors. I also worked extensively in the tourism and micro enterprise sectors, both assisting in strategy creation and also setting up viable community based and private sector initiatives. In addition I managed both the organisational and dedicated project data-bases, as well as being responsible for public relations.
